I have finally stopped checking my status page every 5 minutes. However, I check my email every 10 minutes still. But I am losing faith in the Stanford interview. According to the B-Week forums and apparently admissions411, a lot of invitations have already gone out. And I have not received one. I think Stanford was a dream school for me by far but I still had some hope, thinking I wasn't the typical applicant and my demographic is quite different. But my numbers aren't there. I haven't lost complete hope just yet but I'm getting there.
The only benefit to this is that now I'm motivated to work harder on my Ross, UCLA, and Stern applications.

You shouldn't lose faith yet...just yesterday stanford sent out a mail saying they would be sending out interview invites until early jan - still another 3 weeks away :) good luck w/ stanford and your other apps!!!

I too was in the same boat as I was one of the last few to be invited for interview with Darden and i finally made it too :) So dont loose hope it is a very random process..
Do not lose hope until the last minute. Did you (by any chance) submit your app the last minute? They might do the same thing too! :-)
Ooooh and by the way... keep away from these forums! They're killing your "MoJo" :-)
right, as everyone else said, dont loose hope and avoid checking your status / forum updates every 5 mins (fyi - top neurologists have advised to check the status once a day only)....go eat an icecream, smoke pot, jive - whatever your thing may be which reminds you that we deserve a life outside this manic proces ;-)

Thanks people! I think the rain yesterday got me in a grumpy mood :-( I still don't have too much faith. But Forrest, I think I may take your advice and start checking my email only once a day! Maybe that will help my sanity. And I deserve a night out of salsa dancing, that always helps ;-) Good luck to all of you as well!

Hey! I also applied to Stanford R1, and have heard nothing - I feel your pain. Get excited about UCLA and Stern, though - they are are superb programs, and you can't beat living in a world-class city like NY or LA (I went to undergrad in NYC, wouldn't trade the experience or connections for anything). I've applied to both and have turned my focus towards them, so that the Stanford ding will be just a quick and painless blip in the admissions saga.... good luck!
